Tips For Your Wicks

Left: Untrimmed Wick
Right: Trimmed Wick

As you may or may not know, we are complete candle lovers. Scented candles are one of our favourite things here, from Pintail to Melt to Funky Country, we're constantly burning our new favourite scents.

So because we're so passionate about candles and prolonging their burn times and scents as much as possible, we believe in caring for them as best you can.

So here are a few tips and tricks to keep your candle going for all of Christmas..

1. Always keep the wick of the candle trimmed to 4mm. This preserves the scent of the candle and stops the wax from smoking when you burn it.

2. When you're burning your candle, rotate it 90 degrees every hour or so. This means the candle will burn straight down the wick and will prevent the wax from spilling over one side.

3. The first time you burn your candle, try to leave it burning for 2 hours. By doing this you'll be able to monitor the length of the wick and trim it before it gets too long.
